CoMHWA is pleased to announce a new online education series: Providing Support at a Distance.

The way that Peer Workers are needing to work looks different at the moment. In response to this, CoMHWA has created a series of accessible, online discussions and training sessions which focus on how we respond to the current environment and the new skills we will need.

Week One: Intro to Phone Listening: a different kind of support

Presenters from Samaritans phone support service will discuss the specific skills required for offering support over the phone.  This is an opportunity to explore how you can adapt existing skills and expand on current skills to engage differently over the phone.
